One of the best parts about Mexico has to be the food, the abundance of flavour and variety from the simplest of dishes to the most exotic, every place you eat stamps it's own unique flavour and specialty all over your tongue. From sweets, and snacks, to buffets or three course meals every meal is a new adventure. Chilli is plentiful in Mexican food but fortunately there is a wide variety of locally produced beers and other drinks to cool you down again. Tortilla & Salsas (sauces) also form the foundation on which Mexican food is built, here is a small sample of some of the things you might come across. If you lick the screen on each thumbnail you actually get to taste each dish - give it a try!

You should be prepared to get messy when eating in MexicoJuicy pomegranate, free wasp with every oneThis is the apropriate face to pull when eating Mole - thats Mo-lay not the little furry things, its a sauce of chocolate and chilliChillies Rellenos, or stuffed chillies - usually with soft cheese insideTacos of Barbacoa which is steamed shredded beef - in this case served on a plate of Maguey leavesSalsa de Gusano - if you look closely you can see the little critters swimming around in therecan you pass more salsa please?Did you ever here the story about Tusoc and the pollo verde?some of the most bizarre ice cream flavours in the world, and you can sprinkle chilli powder over it too!
